Adam Giuliano is an associate in the New York office of London-based Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. He received his J.D. cum laude from NYU School of Law and is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey . In addition to his J.D., he holds a B.A. from Yale University , where he received distinctions in the majors of history and political science. Adam enjoys writing on a range of subjects. He has published or written articles on international trade, copyright law and the doctrine of federalism in times of crisis. Essays of his have won awards from both the Grammy Foundation's Annual Entertainment Law Initiative Essay Competition and the CT Corporation Legal Scholarship Fund. Prior to entering law school, Adam worked for a foundation on economic development and education matters in Newark , New Jersey . Among other initiatives, he advised on Newark 's CyberDistrict program. Having worked as a freelance website designer, in 1999 he decided to found his own company, the award-winning GoNewark.com, which was later awarded state tourism funds to support its expansion. Outside of more legal and academic pursuits, Adam greatly enjoys traveling and alongwith it attempting, without much success, to learn a second language.
