ELECTRONIC COMMERCE PROJECT
URL: http://legal.web.aol.com/ecommerc/

America Online, Inc. relaunched the Electronic Commerce Project, a website devoted to international e-commerce law and policy. The project reports current developments, events and Web resources relating to electronic commerce law and policy on a country-by-country basis.

The E-Commerce Project is a not-for-profit initiative. It is jointly sponsored by America Online, Inc., the Institute for Information, Telecommunications and Media Law at the University of Muenster, The International Bar Association, The Computer Law Association, The Internet Law and Policy Forum and the Interactive Services Association. Its content is being updated by a network of "National Reporters,", who are members of one or more of the sponsoring organizations and who volunteer to report on current developments and events in their respective home countries. They include lawyers, professors and other professionals, who are experts on specific e-commerce related topics. All this information is presented on the project's website by a remarkable editorial team, headed by a group of dedicated young e-commerce lawyers from the University of Muenster, Germany.

The Project's website, located at http://legal.web.aol.com/ecommerc/, has been completely re-structured for the relaunch. All information can now be accessed directly from the frontpage. All content has been updated, and will be refreshed on a biweekly basis. The web site will prominently feature the TKR-Newsletter, a University of Muenster based mailinglist covering international communications law and policy issues, keeping its international audience well informed of current developments on a weekly basis, while the E-Commerce Project provides an archive of these current developments.
